Mangala Kshema Trust is guided by a group of dedicated and visionary trustees and advisors who bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our mission. Each member contributes unique skills and insights, ensuring that our initiatives are impactful and sustainable.

Pallavi Sharma, Managing Trustee

Pallavi is an Alumnus of Loreto Convent College, Lucknow and a graduate in Commerce from Canning College, Lucknow University.

She has worked in various fields including women’s empowerment where she started an organisation to train and employ women in traditional Chikan Embriodary and stitching.

She ran the Aditi Boutique for four years. She then focused her creative instinct towards writing and editing.

She has worked for various publishers of Children’s books over the years and is presently employed as Lead Editor with a US based Publisher of Illustrated and Animated Comics.

She lives in Uttarkashi where she shifted in 2007. Living here, she discovered the lack of facilities and opportunities in Upper Himalayan region and the problem of migration form the hills.

She decided to start an initiative that would mitigate some of the hardships that the people of the region faced and encourage them to return back to their roots.

Shri Ravindra Semwal, Secretary

Shri Ravindra Semwal is a well-known personality Gangotri region and Senior Lawyer of Uttarkashi District Court.

From 1992- 1997, he officiated as Secretary of the Gangotri Trust and did innovative work during his tenure. He is a pillar of the Uttarkashi Society and well respected for his knowledge of Law as well as Scriptures.

His compassionate approach and dedication towards helping people are invaluable assets that he brings to the organization.

Shree Singh, Treasurer

Shree holds degrees in management and law and has worked at both national and international levels.

She relocated to the Uttarkashi district around 15 years ago and has been involved in community development, especially focusing on children and teachers in the Assi Ganga Valley, for about 10 years.



Dr. Robert Svoboda, Trustee

Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India.

During and after his formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra and other forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda.

He is the author of twelve books and an inspirational speaker and teacher.

He has a long relationship with Uttarkashi and brings his knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga to the organization.

Ramkumarji

Dr. Ramkumar, Advisor

Ramkumar is a student of Ayurveda and other traditional Indian knowledge systems. Over the last 2 decades, he has given talks and conducted workshops across the world promoting health, happiness and contentment. Ramkumar is a Founder-Director of Punarnava Ayurveda, an institution committed to “Authentic Ayurveda for Universal Well Being”, and currently engaged in the creation of vaidyagrama - an experimental green self-sustaining authentic Ayurveda healing community on the outskirts of Coimbatore in South India. Iti Shree Misra

Iti Shree Misra, Advisor

A journalist for nearly two decades, Iti is now the Deputy Resident Editor, UP, of the features editions of Times of India.

As the feature’s editor she prints and writes about entertainment, lifestyle, fashion and all good things in life.
